Unaccounted cash seized

CHENNAI: The Income-Tax (Investigation wing) has seized Rs.2.12 crore in unaccounted cash from the occupants of a vehicle detained by the police at Mahabalipuram on Tuesday. On enquiry, the occupants, residents of Chromepet, claimed to have received the cash from the sale of about 10 acres, said to have been registered on Monday. Further investigation is on.
