8 new IITs approved

New Delhi: The Cabinet on Thursday approved the creation of eight new IITs during the current academic session at an estimated cost of Rs.6,080 crore, Finance Minister P. Chidambaram said. They will come up in Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Orissa, Gujarat, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and at Indore in M.P.
