Huge haul: The spurious liquor seized in a raid in Krishnagiri on Friday. –

Krishnagiri: The Prohibition Enforcement Wing (PEW) personnel seized 400 bottles of spurious liquor worth Rs. 1 lakh, which was being smuggled in a car, at Kuntharapalli, near here, on Friday. Acting on instructions from the Superintendent of Police, Aneesha Hussain, a team was conducting vehicle checks at the Kuntharapalli check post when they intercepted a car and seized the contraband. Four persons were arrested.
