DAVANGERE/Raichur: Two farmers committed suicide by consuming poison in the State on Friday. According to sources, Hanumanthappa (55) at Uchangidurga in Davangere district reportedly committed suicide as he was unable to repay the loan owing to crop failure. He had taken loan of Rs. 2 lakh from his relatives and friends against the four acres of land. Honnappa (48) of at Sugaral village of Deodurga taluk in Raichur district allegedly committed suicide in his field. He had purchased seeds and fertilizers for kharif season on credit.
