Lakshadweep Congress chief dead

KOCHI: K.G. Moosa Manikfan, 58, president of the Lakshadweep Territorial Congress Committee and AICC member, died here on Friday morning.

He had been admitted to a city hospital following chest pain after arriving from Kavaratti last week. The body was flown to his home island Minicoy by the Lakshadweep administration’s emergency helicopter and buried at the north burial ground at Minicoy late in the evening.
