TRS decries KU’s move to withdraw course

Staff Reporter

ADILABAD: The Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) on Friday demanded the Kakatiya University (KU) to continue the M.Sc. (microbiology) course at the PG centre at the Government Degree College for Women, Adilabad. The party has also urged people to cooperate with it for making Saturday’s Telangana bandh a success in Adilabad district.

Addressing a press conference here TRS leader Ch. Suhasini Reddy among others decried the move of the KU to withdraw the microbiology course from Adilabad. They said the reasons given by the authorities for withdrawal of the course were not sufficient for the purpose.

Pointing out the fact that students have performed excellently during the three years of existence of the course, Ms. Suhasini Reddy said some more time should be given by the KU for the college to set up a second laboratory. Besides, the college management has assured that efforts would made to recruit more faculty, she said.
