Ramadoss condemns arrest of partymen in Tirupur

CHENNAI: PMK leader S. Ramadoss on Saturday condemned the arrest of two partymen in Tirupur under the National Security Act (NSA) on charges of burning a bus during the July 19 bandh to protest the pollution of Noyyal river by the dyeing units.

In a statement here, Dr. Ramadoss said by arresting Rajenderan and Doss the ruling DMK had converted the NSA into PEA (PMK Eradication Act). The bandh call was given jointly by 11 political parties, but only the PMK had been targeted, he alleged.
