The ACB on Saturday caught a Deputy Executive Engineer N. Reddy Madhava Reddy at his office in Saroornagar for allegedly accepting Rs.10,000 as bribe from a complainant for doing an official favour.

The tainted amount was also recovered from Reddy.

He was working in the RWS and Sanitation section, according to a press release.

Student held

An undergraduate was arrested by the city police on Saturday on charges of illegally filling gas from domestic gas cylinders into small cylinders.

The accused has been identified as Mohammed Mazhar Khan.
