Petroleum bridge from today

KOCHI: The 29th Petroleum Sports Promotion Board inter-unit bridge tournament begins at the Cherai Beach Resort, near here, on Monday. Six teams – IOCL, BPCL, HPCL, IOC-AOD, OIL and host ONGC – will figure in the five-day event.

Competitions will be held in the team of four duplicate, master pairs and team of four progressive events. ONGC won the title last year.

The IOCL Chairman S. Behuria, who will do the opening honours on Monday morning, HPCL’s Sandeep Karmarkar and BPCL’s Marianne Karmarkar are some of the prominent names in the event.
