Nice: The waiting room for children and mothers in Tiruchi passport office. TIRUCHI: The Regional Passport Office, Tiruchi, has planned to open two more district passport centres (DPCs) at the Tiruchi Collector’s office and Ariyalur. “The newly formed Ariyalur district will also get a DPC soon,” S. Balachandran, Regional Passport Officer, told The Hindu. The Regional Passport Office here has also been given a facelift recently . The reception area, the waiting hall upstairs and the children’s room have been improved. The decorated children’s room is also meant to be a changing/feeding room for mothers. An additional 2000 square feet of space has been created for the waiting hall inside the office.The office has also introduced an electronic token display system at the entrance. All the counters have been provided with microphones and speakers so that the staff could interact with the applicants.
