Protest rallies

The Andhra Pradesh Vidya Parirakshana Committee will organise rallies and dharnas at Machilipatnam on Tuesday to protest against the merger of 4.090 higher secondary schools in the State. The Committee also wants the government to provide breakfast, milk and nutritious snacks to the students, apart from the mid-day meals. The Andhra Pradesh Teachers Federation in its emergency meeting has decided to support the cause.
