Action plan

BANGALORE: The Bangalore Rural Zilla Panchayat Implementation Committee on Saturday sanctioned a Rs. 11.35-crore action plan for 2008-09 to take up improvement of school buildings, conduct teachers training and other activities under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan programme.

According to a release, the plan was sanctioned at a meeting chaired by the Labour Minister B.N. Bachche Gowda and attended by zilla panchayat president C. Muniyappa.

The meeting also reviewed the programmes implemented during 2007-08, the release added.
