Olympians honoured

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Nineteen Olympians from the State were honoured by Chief Minister V.S. Achuthananthan at a function organised by Marthrubhumi newspaper here on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the State Government would constitute a sports commission for developing sports in the State. Mr. Achuthananthan said Olympians would be able to help the Government and Kerala State Sports Council in identifying and coaching young talents. Kerala Sports Minister M. Vijayakumar and Kerala State Sports Council president T.P. Dasan were also present.
