CHENNAI: Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy has been decorated with the title of “Hindu Dharma Rakshak” at a temple auditorium in Dallas, US. The honour was instituted by the Sanatana Dharma Foundation inspired by Dayananda Sarasvati of Arsha Vidya Gurukulam, according to a press note issued by the party office here. The citation of the award lauded Dr. Swamy for fearlessly speaking up for the Hindu community and his campaign against the Sethusamudram shipping canal project across the Ramar Sethu. NRIs and American devotees attended the function. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
