Charred body of woman found

A woman was allegedly set ablaze by her paramour at Vennavari Street in Old Guntur in the early hours of Monday.

The woman was identified as G. Dhanalakshmi, 36. The police took the accused, Srinivasa Rao, into custody and were questioning him. Locals told the police that the woman was married to Sambasiva Rao, a private security guard and the couple had a boy and a girl. It was alleged that the woman had been having an illicit relationship with Srinivasa Rao for some time.
