Penalty sees Fisichella drop to 16th

Hockenheim: Force India driver Giancarlo Fisichella copped a 25-second penalty for safety car infringement to drop to 16th place in the German Grand Prix.

Fisichella was guilty of unlapping under the safety car during Sunday’s German Grand Prix, which he finished at 14th.

Following Timo Glock’s heavy accident, Fisichella decided to pit when the safety car was deployed.

The 25-second penalty places him behind Williams’ Kazuki Nakajima and fellow Force India driver Adrian Sutil. — PTI
