VIJAYAWADA: Krishna’s M. Chidambareswara Rao’s unbeaten century was the highlight of the Prakasam-Krishna ACA Central Zone under-22 inter-district match that ended in a draw at Guntur on Monday. The scores: Krishna 198 (V. Sandeep 51, Vishal Babu 42, G. Bhuvan five for 41) and 157 for two in 37.2 overs (M. Chidambareswara Rao 100 n.o.) drew with Prakasam 111 in 50.5 overs (M. Dinesh Kumar three for 24, K. Varun three for 32). Rishi, Vamsi sparkleD. Rishi Kumar (74) and T. Vamsi Krishna (64) enabled Central Zone post 287 in 82.5 overs against South Zone in the three-day ACA under-19 inter-zonal tournament for P. Narasimha Raju Trophy here on Monday. At draw of stumps, South Zone was 11 for no loss in six overs. The scores: Central Zone 287 in 82.5 overs (D. Rishi Chowdary 74, T. Vamsi Krishna 64, K. Harish 60) vs. South Zone 11 for no loss in six overs. The Anantapur-Chittoor tie ended in a draw. The tournament will resume on Wednesday. The scores: Nellore 156 and 187 in 39 overs (Ramakrishna 49) lost to Kadapa 332 for eight decl. in 47.3 overs (Ghayaz 125, Vishnu Reddy 55, Irfan 65) and 12 for one in 4.1 overs.
