Date extended for scholarships

SALEM: The Union Government has extended the last date for submitting applications for providing pre-matric scholarships to school students belonging to minority communities to July 31. Students studying Standard I to X are eligible for the scholarship.

They can obtain the application forms from www.tn.gov.in/documents/bcmbcmw/prematric_scholarship_to_minorities.pdf or www.minorityaffairs.gov.in. Students should submit the filled in forms to the head of their respective school.

Applications

The schools should forward the applications to district backward class and minorities’ welfare office by August 10.
