Power cuts in some parts of Capital

NEW DELHI: Some parts of the Capital experienced power cuts for a few hours on Tuesday because of a technical fault at the Vidarbha sub-station in the Western region.

The fault resulted in loss of about 3,000 MW in generation and caused under-frequency relays. Among the affected areas were Okhla and Sarita Vihar. Meanwhile, a fault at a BSES sub-station at Alaknanda led to power cuts in Chittaranjan Park, Kalkaji and adjoining areas.
