DPCC chief hails Manmohan, Sonia

NEW DELHI: Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president J. P. Agarwal on Tuesday congratulated Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi for the UPA Government’s victory in the trust vote in Parliament.

Asserting that the proposed nuclear deal with the United States would help India grow at a faster rate, he said: “The nuclear deal is essential to meet the short and long-term electricity needs of the country. The Congress would not have dared to sacrifice the Government if the nuke deal was not in the best interest of the country.”
