Milk samples taken

Health Department officials of the Tiruchi Corporation on Tuesday took samples of the milk sold in retail markets in various parts of the city as part of a State-wide drive to check adulteration.

The samples would be sent for testing, Corporation Health Officer P.Sivanesan has said. The Corporation officials took samples from milk vendors at Chinthamani, Anna Statue, West Boulevard Road, Vayalur Road and Uyyakondan Thirumalai. The drive was taken up as per the guidelines issued by the Directorate of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, a Corporation release said.
