NEW DELHI: Three young men have been arrested for alleged involvement in auto-lifting cases. The police claim to have recovered 16 stolen vehicles at their instance. Brahmanand was arrested in Okhla while moving around in a stolen Maruti car on July 14. The vehicle was found stolen from Lodhi Colony. During interrogation, the accused purportedly disclosed that he was initiated into auto-lifting by Mustakim and Tony, residents of Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh. Later he formed his own gang by roping in Khem Chand and Shahzad. The police have arrested the other two in Bulandshahr and recovered the stolen vehicles. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
