NEW DELHI: Two alleged robbers -- Imran and Ajay Sharma -- have been arrested at Seemapuri in the Capital’s trans-Yamuna area. The police claim to have seized a luxury car, a country-made firearm and a stolen mobile phone from them. The police received a complaint from shopkeeper Gulshan Kumar alleging that four young men had robbed him of Rs.20,000 and a mobile phone at Dilshad Garden on Sunday night. The assailants escaped in a car. Based on the complaint, the police registered a case and launched a hunt for the culprits. Acting on a tip-off that the suspects would pass by the area in the car used in the Dilshad Garden incident, a patrol team laid a trap and arrested them. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
