Prisoner dies in hospital

TIRUNELVELI: A prisoner of Palayamkottai Central Prison died in the Tirunelveli Medical College Hospital on Tuesday midnight due to cancer.

Police said M. Khader alias Khader Maideen (59) of West Anbu Nagar in Anna Nagar, Tuticorin had been lodged at Palayamkottai Central Prison after being convicted on September 3, 2005 in a case filed against him by Department of Customs. Since he was suffering from cancer, he was admitted to TVMCH on June 28 last and died last night.
