Case of overstaying

The credentials of a foreigner, who allegedly overstayed in the city, are being verified by the city police.

The man from New Zealand reportedly came to the city on a tourist visa and was allegedly working for some company. When his attention was drawn to the issue, Police Commissioner N. Sambasiva Rao said that foreigners had to invariably register at the Foreigners Registration Office (FRO). “We verify the credentials of all foreigners visiting the city and I can comment on this particular case only after obtaining the details,” he added.
