Four held in murder case

HYDERABAD: Four persons were arrested by the police on Wednesday for the murder of one A. Srikanth at Afzalgunj 12 days ago.

Srikanth was reportedly killed by a grocery shop owner’s son P. Raghavendra (24) and three of his associates -- M. Srinivas, A. Mahender and Sampath Pramod -- for threatening and extorting money from the grocer’s family, Commissioner’s Task Force DCP V.B. Kamalasan Reddy told reporters. They invited Srikanth for a party and after consuming liquor, they took him to Poosalabasthi and hacked him to death.
