Crop insurance training for field staff

CHITTOOR: A training programme on implementation of village unit crop insurance for kharif was organised here on Friday for Tahasildar and other field staff.

Addressing the meeting DRO Chandra Mouli said that 48 mandals were selected as National Agricultural Insurance mandals on the base of extension of groundnut sown. State Joint Director, Economic and Statistics Balakrishna Rao said that the benefit will be extended to farmers who have not obtained loans in the rabi season. .

The Agricultural and Revenue Officers were asked to take action on or before July 31 in such away so that the farmers get insurance who cultivated ground nut crops. ipated.
