Man arrested

Kozhikode: A special squad of the Kozhikode Crime Branch Criminal Investigation Department on Friday arrested a person, involved in a visa cheating case, who was absconding for the past 14 years. The accused, A. Moosankutty, was reportedly picked up from his hideout in Kannur around 8.30 a.m. by a team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police A. Ashokan. The squad came to know the whereabouts of Moosankutty following an intelligence input, the police said. Moosankutty hails from Ponnani. He had reportedly collected a money from one T. Asainar in 1994 promising him a job in Saudi Arabia.
