17 ordinances to be reissued

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Cabinet decided to recommend the proroguing of the Assembly and reissue of 17 ordinances to the Governor on Friday.

The ordinances are being reissued since the Assembly could not enact Bills to replace the ordinances during the session that ended on Thursday. Ordinances lapse on completion of six weeks from the date of convening of the Assembly.

The ordinances being reissued now include the Pamba River Basin Authority Ordinance.
