VIJAYAWADA: The Atheist Centre on Saturday organised a seminar on ‘The significance of positive atheism’ to commemorate the 33rd death anniversary of atheist leader and social reformer Gora. Addressing the gathering on the occasion, rationalist leader G.V.K. Aasan from Periyar Thidal, Chennai, said that Gora’s atheism was not negative, but “positive, constructive and creative”. It was dynamic and it harped on freewill of humans. Gora strove all his life for social change and fought against untouchability and caste system.
