Minister reviews slum tenement works

CHENNAI: The Minister for Slum Clearance and Accommodation Control, Suba Thangavelan, reviewed slum tenement works in the Thousand Lights Assembly constituency on Monday and directed slum clearance board officials to expedite work on the multi-storeyed tenements at Royapettah

According to an official release, the Minister also wanted the officials to examine the feasibility of constructing houses for slum dwellers in various areas in the constituency, including Moors Salai and Giriappa Salai. — Special Correspondent
