MUMBAI: Karnataka shuttlers S.D.S. Krishna and Monisha Vinayak forced their way into the men’s and women’s main draw, winning close final qualifying round ties in the first Tata Open all-India badminton tournament at the Bombay Gymkhana on Monday. Krishna edged out Andhra Pradesh’s Sai Praneeth 21-19, 21-17 and Monisha bounced back to beat Sanyogita Ghorpade 8-21, 22-20, 21-19. The results (final qualifying round): Men: S.D.S.
