Bank employee held

KRISHNAGIRI: The Central Bureau of Investigation sleuths on Wednesday arrested a cashier of a public sector bank branch in Krishnagiri district on graft charges.

Sources said the bank official Sampath Kumar reportedly demanded money from a farmer Narayanan of Kanthikuppam, a beneficiary of the crop loan waiver scheme announced by the Central government.

Based on a complaint preferred by the farmer, the CBI laid a trap and caught the official red hand.
