Rs. 20 lakh for study on capacity of Sagar

HYDERABAD: The government on Wednesday ordered for commencement of a sedimentation study by AP Engineering & Research Laboratories on the reservoir of Nagarjunas- agar to verify if its storage capacity has gone down. It sanctioned Rs 20 lakhs for the study. A study in 2001 revealed that the reservoir lost 19 per cent capacity due to sedimentation. –Special Correspondent
