Plea to protect mangroves

HYDERABAD: The Forum for Sustainable Development has sought a direction to district authorities to stop destruction of sensitive mangroves by the proposed 1,500 MW power plant in Polatithippa village, Krishna district. J. Rama Rao, adviser to the forum, stated that the plant was proposed in a prohibited Coastal Regulation Zone . –Special Correspondent
