AP-IIIT admission from August 4

HYDERABAD: The State government’s ambitious project of exposing rural students to technical education will take off from August 4 with admissions into the three AP-IIITs starting on that day. Admissions would be done in five phases for 6,530 selected students representing every rural mandal in the State.

APSCHE Chairman K.C. Reddy said admission letters have been sent to all the candidates by the respective DEOs and the list with details like campus allocation and joining date is placed on the website - www.rgukt.in/rgukt/allocation.html. Students can request for change of admission date and join latest by August 11. He said certain admissions like those selected under BC “E” category and physically challenged category are being deferred for want of clearance from the Supreme Court and additional information.

He said all the clarifications sought with regard to admissions have been put on www.rgukt.in/rgukt/grievances.html and by entering the roll number they can get the required information. In addition, cases of certain students were referred to the Governing Council by the High Court and the explanations are also provided at www.rgukt.in/rgukt/petitions.html.
