ARANTHANGI: The Judicial Magistrate, Aranthangi, L S. Sathiyamurthy, on Tuesday, convicted and sentenced a villager to three years’ rigorous imprisonment in a case of burglary. According to the prosecution, R. Selvaraj (48) of Vilakudivillage near Tiruthuraipoondi, broke open the doors of a pawn broker’s shop belonging to Thiyagarajan and burgled a silver jewellery worth Rs.2,000 a few months ago. The Aranthangi police registered a case and arrested Selvaraj.
