Ready for debate

Former Mayor Jandhyala Sankar on Wednesday said the Congress was ready for a public debate on the nuclear deal.

Picking up the gauntlet thrown at the party by the Communist Party of India floor leader in the Municipal Corporation’s general body P. Gowtham Reddy on this count, Mr. Sankar said the Congress MP from Vijayawada Lagadapati Rajagopal was ready to participate in a public debate on the issue with any of the CPI MPs.

He said the Congress would give the chance of selecting the time and venue for the debate to the CPI.
