Why should extra-curricular activities be limited only to summer vacations? Many parents make their child join some activity class or the other during the annual holidays and forget about it once the school reopens. This can kill the creative interest of your child. Well, here is an avenue for those who pursued theatre workshops during their vacation and want to continue with it but don’t know where to go. Founded by Anjali Raghbeer, Priyanjili Goel, Roopali Uppal, Shalini Gupta, Shefali Kushalani and Urvashi Khemka, Theatricks is an organisation that provides a platform to kids from age eight to 15 to develop their creative skills and broaden their horizon by conducting workshops throughout the year. It with the finest talents in the country in the sphere of arts and theatre to conduct workshops. From this Friday till August 9,Theatricks is conducting a creative writing and voice modulation workshop by Sohaila Kapur, the well-known playwright, writer and director. The classes will be held between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m on weekdays and 10.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. on weekends at the city’s Friends Colony West. At end of the workshop, the children will hold a performance for the parents based on the skills they learn in the workshop. The fee for the workshop is Rs. 3,000 per child.
