Dr. Muthulakshmi Reddy remembered

GLOWING TRIBUTE: Mathuranthagi Kaliyamoorthy, vice-president of statue committee, paying tribute to portrait of Dr. Muthulakshmy Reddy in Pudukottai on Wednesday.

PUDUKOTTAI: Tributes were paid to Dr. Muthulakshmi Reddy on the occasion of her birth anniversary on Wednesday at a function held under the auspices of the Dr. Muthulakshmi Reddy Statue Committee here at the Government Headquarters Hospital.

Office-bearers of the Committee who participated in the function explained the great services rendered by her in the cause of socio-economic uplift of women.

Led by vice-president Mathuranthagi Kaliyamoorthy, they paid their homage to a portrait of Dr. Reddy.

A book on the life and achievements of Dr. Reddy was distributed on the occasion. Committee honorary president S. Subbiah, secretary S.P. Senthil; hospital resident medical officer S. Ravi and superintendent S. Ranganathan participated.
