Special Correspondent

Kochi: Harrisons Malayalam Ltd., an RPG group company, achieved a turnover of Rs.70.47 crore for the quarter June 30, 2008.

This is a 69 per cent growth compared to the same period in the previous year.

This growth is attributable to improved realisation for tea and rubber, marked increase in production and better capacity utilisation.

The quarter ended with a profit after tax of Rs. 6.76 crore, as against Rs. 48 lakhs for the same quarter last year.

The company has initiated steps to modernise its factories and has embarked on an accelerated replanting and infilling programme to improve productivity of land, says a release.
