Thumping win for Surana College

BANGALORE: Surana College scored a thumping 8-1 victory over Kendriya Vidyalaya (DRDO) in the Karnataka State Hockey Association inter-college tournament here on Thursday.

Chengappa (15th, 52nd & 57th) was the star performer while Adarsh (4th & 17th) notched up a brace. Ratan Muthanna (14th), Chandran (28th) and Mandanna (52nd) sounded the boards once each. Deepak (45th) scored KVDRDO’s consolation goal.

In the T. Shanmugham memorial inter-school boys tournament, Ramakrishna High School and Lions School (Haveri) split points with a 1-1 draw. Bharath (16th) scored first for Lions HS and Ravindra (19th) brought up the equaliser.
