Easy for Shantinikethan

BANGALORE: Defending champion Shantinikethan breezed through to a 25-13, 25-8 win over St. Joseph’s in the High School boys section of the 24th State-level inter-school volleyball tournament.

The Spikers Youth CC conducted tournament got underway at the Corporation ground, Jayanagar on Friday.

On a day when most of the matches turned one-sided Mahila Seva Samaj too lost little time in disposing off R.V. Public 25-3, 25-6 in the same section.

The only match that went the distance was in the girls High School section wherein Shantinikethan downed MSS 25-17, 24-26, 15-10.

Boys: High School: BHS bt VET 25-14, 25-21; Kyoti KV bt RV School 25-5, 25-8; Webster bt Vidyanjali 25-15, 25-12; New Horizon bt PTA 25-5, 25-6.

Primary School: MSS bt Gurukul 25-14, 25-22; Carmel bt Brightway 25-23, 25-12; Royal bt Holy Saint 25-21, 25-9.

Girls: High School: Carmel Convent bt Gurukul 25-8, 25-9; Gnanabodini bt SSM 25-21, 25-10; St. Mary’s bt RV Girls 25-8, 25-13; Stella Mary’s bt Vidyanjali 25-20, 25-19.
