VISAKHAPATNAM: Documentary film “A Vision” written and directed by an engineering student P. Mahesh Babu will be screened at VUDA Children Theatre at 6 p.m. on Monday.

Addressing a media conference in this connection on Saturday, Mahesh Babu said that he felt hurt by the exploitation and neglect of innocent children by their own parents. While some were being made to beg on the streets others were forced into prostitution. The victims have no one to share their sorrow and suffer silently. He recalled that he had to work for three months to learn more about the victims. It took him quite a lot of time and effort to make them speak out. He selected a few incidents, dramatised them in his film. He felt it was wrong on the part of parents to deprive the young ones of their childhood. When asked as to what was the solution for poverty, he said that poverty and deprivation of childhood were two different issues.
