Students and adventure sports

BANGALORE: Today’s students, pressured by academics and future career concerns, fail to appreciate the importance of outdoor activities and they must be motivated to participate in adventure sports, observed I.M. Vittalamurthy, Principal Secretary, Youth Services and Sports. He was inaugurating a symposium, “The Great Outdoors of The South,” here on Saturday to highlight the potential of adventure sports, outdoor activities and ecotourism. The symposium, organised by Essen Communications, held presentations on aquatic sports and ecotourism.
