It is to discuss the feasibility of the Gundia Hydroelectric Project HASSAN: Deputy Commissioner Naveen Raj Singh has called for a public hearing on the proposed Gundia Hydroelectric Project at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, at the Hongadahalla village panchayat office in Sakleshpur taluk of the district. This will be attended by officials of Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Ltd. and the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board. Speaking to presspersons here on Saturday, Malnad Janapara Horata Samiti president H.A. Kishore Kumar said the Deputy Commissioner would preside over the hearing. The Deputy Commissioner’s office has sent intimation letters to the member secretary, KSPCB; the Sakleshpur Assistant Commissioner; the KSPCB environmental officer, Hassan; the Sakleshpur Tahsildar; Hongadahalla Biodiversity Management Committee member H.A. Subbe Gowda; the Sakleshpur Taluk Panchayat executive officer; the president and secretary of the Hongadahalla Village Panchayat and to the president of the Malnad Janapara Horata Samiti, Hassan.
