Andhra Pradesh - Hyderabad

Naidu for New Delhi

Special Correspondent

N. Chandrababu Naidu

HYDERABAD: Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu will leave for New Delhi on Sunday to attend the funeral of CPI (M) leader Harkishan Surjeet.

While in the national capital, he will also meet other UNPA partners and discuss future plans, said MP E. Dayakar Rao at a press conference here on Saturday.

After his political confabulations are over, Mr. Naidu will fly back to Hyderabad on Monday morning and drive down to Kurnool for continuing his ‘Mee Kosam’ public contact programme.

In a response to MP Adikesavulu Naidu’s utterances at a press conference in Chittoor district on Friday, Mr. Rao regretted what he termed ‘mud-slinging’ by an MP who allegedly ‘cross-voted’ and went against the party’s whip. He said he was only trying to gain sympathy in the eyes of the people by repeatedly saying that he was being targeted.

CD copies

He released copies of a CD that showed Mr. Adikesavulu Naidu telling the Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee that he had voted against the UNPA and also clipping showing Congress MPs Vundavalli Arun Kumar and Lagadapati Sridhar announcing that two TDP MPs had voted in favour of the UPA.
