India advances

India beats the Netherlands for its second win
Ensures passage into the next round

CHENNAI: Fifth seed India moved into the last sixteen round in the team event of the World junior men’s squash championship being held in Zurich.

Placed in Pool E, India defeated the Netherlands 3-0 on Sunday for its second win in this four-team pool and ensured passage into the next round.

India has to play USA later in the day but whatever be the result, both the teams qualify from this pool.

Ramit Tandon, Vikram Malhotra and Aditya Jagtap were fielded and they proved a strong combination for the Dutch side. Each of them had a comfortable win.

Earlier on Saturday India got off to a fine start with a facile 3-0 win over Venezuela in its first match of the Pool.

For this match the number one player Vikram Malhotra was rested. Ravi Dixit had joined Ramit and Aditya and all the three players performed creditably.
