NEW DELHI: Richa Mishra of Central Reserve Police Force set two new meets records in the Open Aquatic meet 2008 at the Punjabi Bagh Club pool here on Sunday. She clocked 5:30.82 in the 400m individual medley to erase the two-year-old record of 6:03.79 held by Ritu Sehajwal. Richa then swam the 100m butterfly in 1:15.86 and broke the previous mark of 1:18.62 set by Meesha Arora. Mohit Kumar excelled in Boys Group I by claiming the title in 400m freestyle and 400m individual medley while Sandeep Sharma also claimed a double by winning the 100m backstroke and 400m individual medley in boys Group II. Chirag Singhal stole the show in boys Group IV by winning the 50m butterfly stroke and the 200m individual medley. In the girls section, Harpreet Kaur, Ruhab Khan, Kavya Anand and Sukruti Singh impressed by winning a title each to add to their respective triumphs on Saturday. The winners: Men: Rohit Kumar (400m IM and 100m butterfly). Women: Richa Mishra (400m IM and 100m butterfly). Boys: I: Mohit Kumar (200m freestyle and 400m IM). II: Sandeep Sharma (100m backstroke and 400m IM); Karan Singh (200m freestyle). III: Devansh Kochar (200m IM); Tanmay (100m butterfly). IV: Chirag Singhal (50m butterfly and 200m IM). V: Akshansh (50m butterfly); Deepanshu Dahiya (200m IM). Girls: II: Harpreet Kaur (400m IM). III: Ruhab Khan (200m IM). IV: Kavya Anand (200m IM).
