Seven killed in road accident

BANGALORE: Seven persons were killed and five were seriously injured when the multi-utility vehicle by which they were travelling collided with a KSRTC bus in Manki police station limits in Honnavar taluk of Uttara Kannada district on Sunday. According to the police, the vehicle was taking pilgrims from Illkal in Bagalkot district to Dharmasthala in Dakshina Kannada district. The injured persons were being shifted to KMC Hospital, Manipal, the police said.

The identity of the persons was yet to be ascertained.
